Who can benefit for Aquatic Personal Training?
EVERYONE!!! Everyone knows that aquatic exercise is good for the elderly and for injured individuals, but it is also PERFECT for the the everyday athlete as well. Even ELITE athletes. For years, whenever water exercise was mentioned, pictures of little, old ladies in their flowery bathing caps, doing more talking than actual working out formed in most people's head. That is not true anymore. Did you know that many celebrities have now started getting Aquatic Personal Trainers to help them keep their physiques in top form for the screen? Mariah Carey, Jennifer Aniston, Paul Walker and Jason Statham just to name a few. You may also be surprised to hear that more and more professional athletes are turning to Aquatic Personal Training to help them gain an edge in the competitive world of professional sports. "Who?" you may ask. Well, how about Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Marv Marinovich, former Oakland Raiders conditioning coach, is a BIG believer in aquatic exercise. The Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears are now incorporating Training in the water as part of their conditioning program for their teams. NBA legend Bill Walton endorses and is on the Board of Directors of Aqualogix, an aquatic resistance system that I use, and you can see him here as he uses the equipment in the pool. The infamous Terrell Owens made the statement in his reality show, The T.O. Show, that the work he does in the pool is his secret for staying on top of his game and in staying ahead of the competition. How about MMA greats Zach Bumgarner, Matt Hughes, Jesse Romero, etc. Not enough? How about the Navy Seals and U.S. Army?
