Water Exercise Technologies
is coming to England in 2012!!!
We will be based out of Peterborough, and providing services throughout England.
Water Exercise Technologies has teamed with a well known supplier of swimming paraphernalia and equipment to bring England top rate aquatic programs and swimming instruction, as well as the latest in swimming gear.
Top notch swimming training for triathlons!
A good majority of triathletes look at swimming as the necessary evil. The truth of the matter is that swimming is the ONLY one of the three disciplines that will help you with ALL THREE of the disciplines the more you work at it. We have many years experience to be able to work on your swimming skills whether you are an elite athlete, or just beginning your adventures. In fact, we specialize in the beginner. Many people come to triathlons through wither running or biking, but are intimidated by the swim portion. Let us help you. Whether you are getting ready for your very first triathlon, or you are a veteran of triathlons and want to gain a further edge, we can definitely help you. Look for our programs coming to a location near you soon!
The latest in Open Water Swimming training!
Open water swimming is VERY different than swimming in a pool. You don't have a bottom to stand on. There are no black lines on the bottom to follow. You don't have the walls to get rest on either. You are not in a lane by yourself and instead are swimming with a mass of people, hitting elbows and such. The environment can vary greatly. Waves. Currents. Wind. Salt water or fresh. There are many variables that make Open Water Swimming so different. We can help you prepare for these variables.
Private coaching!
Think you need a little more focused attention? We can work around your schedule and focus on your goals and challenges to help you be the best you can be. Coming soon to an area near you in Central England!
Access to the latest in swimming paraphernalia and equipment at great rates!
Want to make sure that you have the latest and greatest in swimming paraphernalia and gear? We have teamed with one of the leading suppliers of swimming supplies and can offer you the best at the best price. No more searching online and then waiting for delivery. Pick up your equipment and get started enjoying it immediately! Look for us soon in the Peterborough area.
and more!!!
More details coming soon! Check back to this page for more information as it becomes available for public release.
19 October 2011 - Lots to update!
First, there has been a change as to partnerships (my choice). Things were just not really moving forward, and I wasn't getting a lot of support. But don't fret! I know have support from the government itself!
I have already begun working with clients in England, and it was through this that I met with and worked with a member of the government. It is this individual that is now assisting me in bringing WET's services to the UK. As you can understand, I am not a liberty to say too much more on the matter other than a UK based website has already been acquired and is in the early stages of development.
As you can imagine, the timetable has been moved back again, but we now have a solid target date. Look for us next year late summer/early fall. Events are already in the planning stages!

7 September 2011 - Gearing up for my venture out in San Diego. So much to do and get ready for, but I'm REALLY excited about it!
I just wanted to put an entry in to say thanks to all my UK followers! Thanks for helping to spread the word. You all have been AWESOME!
29 July 2011 - I've now gotten WET's first UK client and am really excited about it! I started working with them a week ago and things are going great!
And while all this traveling is fun, it really starts to take its toll on you after a while, especially when you still have to keep everything running smoothly in the States. My next trip will be out to San Diego in September, so I'm not sure at the moment how soon I'll be returning to the UK. If any of you would like to meet with me, or simply would like to inquire more about what we are doing, please visit the Contact Us page and send us your questions or inquiries.
3 June 2011 - Wow! How time flies when you are busy and traveling so much! After trips to Atlanta, GA and to the eastern shores of Florida, and with trips planned to San Diego, CA and such, its been hard getting in a trip back to the UK to further developments there. But I have targeted a trip back to the UK for mid to late July. I just have to coordinate schedules there and nail down some things.
Things have been progressing better than anticipated here in the States, and I have wanted to make sure that things continue smoothly here while things start to ramp up in the UK.
Looking forward to seeing everyone over there! Its been too long!
14 March 2011 - The response to the social network marketing campaign has been tremendous! Especially in the Cambridgeshire area, and amongst the swimming and triathlon communities. Things continue to evolve as well. And thank you to everyone helping to spread the word. I will be making another trip over there soon.
I also want to give a few shout-outs as well. Dennis, you have been an invaluable help. All the contacts you have introduced me to have all been incredible, and I appreciate red tape that you have helped me cut through.
Sarah, Jim and Ian, I'm happy to have been welcomed with such open arms, and I'm really excited that you are including me and WET in your plans.
Finally, I want to say a hearty congratulations t0 a certain someone. I was so excited to hear about your new position! I'm so glad that you were finally able to sort through all that, and that you now finally have some semblance of independence again. It must feel good to not be beholden anymore. it won't be long now. Also, I was tickled to hear about your number one doing so well in his Rugby. Fantastic!! I'm so looking forward to seeing it. And hip hop? Too funny and too cute.
See you soon. :-) X x x
14 February 2011 - It's amazing! On the one hand, it seems to be taking forever to finally get to the point of getting things going over there, while on the other hand, things seem to be moving rather quickly. Some decisions have been made as to the timeline for us actually being over there, and a lot has to do with maximizing the effects the Olympics will have. The question has been "Do you come now and take advantage of the buildup to the Olympics, or do you wait and take advantage of the surge in popularity that always follows an Olympics?" The decision has been made to do a bit of both. Right now we have started to ramp up the first phase of our marketing. Water Exercise Technologies now has a fan page on Facebook. Please click on the like button and become a fan of us. You can look for us on Facebook, or the easiest way is to simply click on the homepage for this site and you can Like us from there. Its found toward to the bottom of the page. You can't miss it. We are also the newest Twitterers! You can find us on Twitter as @MarkCanterbury. Please come follow us. We'll be having lots of exciting things coming through Twitter, and you can learn some great things on aquatic exercise as well. So become a fan and LIKE our Water Exercise Technologies page on Facebook, and come follow us @MarkCanterbury on Twitter.
28 December 2010 - Wow! I'm so excited! As a result of the Queen's Christmas message this year, I have had even MORE interest in what W.E.T. is bringing the UK, and a lot of the government's red tape is being loosened. Even with the horrible weather the UK is seeing at the moment, the focus is clearly on sports, swimming, and the lead up to the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Look for me coming over again shortly after the new year. I have some exciting new programs getting started here in the US in conjunction with some nationally syndicated radio shows, but once I make sure that they are off to the start I expect, I will be coming over once again. And I would like to once again thank a certain someone for their continued support, excitement, and enthusiasm. See you again soon. :-)
9 December 2010 - Well, Friday it was decided to go for the final trip of this year there, but it was finally decided at the last minute to forgo this trip due the the horrible weather there. So obviously things will now be put off until 2011. Its incredibly mind-blowing all that needs to b done, but we are all excited about the direction things are heading. I did have one person I had aready arranged to get together with and I'm hate that i had to postpone it, but all in good time. :-)
6 October 2010 - Wow! Yet another amazing trip! Got lots of things accomplished and contacts made. And with all of the drownings that have been in the news lately, we have become a welcomed force to help combat and educate. I am extremely happy with the welcome that we have received. As it seems that this column has kind of morphed into more of a blog style, I will continue to update things in a more personal nature.
As things have progressed, and partners have been taken on, I have been, more or less, told that it is of utmost importance to keep some things from being public as of yet, so I apologize if there are some things that I cannot talk about just yet.
That being said, I must first apologize for the delay in my posting since my last trip to the UK. Things have been a whirlwind as you might guess, but all of a positive nature. I was thrilled with being able to see and spend time with certain people there, and I especially enjoyed the day with one person in particular. It was GREAT having that time with you and seeing you again! (Again, one of those things that I cannot go into further detail about)
I will be returning once again shortly. Probably one more time before the holidays get into full swing. My next several trips will also entail my scouting for somewhere to reside. I already have several leads and have talked to some, but if any of you know of a good place that you can pass along, please feel free to drop me the information through our "Contact Us" page. And thanks again for such a warm welcome and the excitement that has been extended to us.
8 September 2010 - All set for my second trip to England. On the one hand, time has seemed to fly as so much has gone on since my last trip, but on the other hand, it has seemed to drag as I have been eager to reconnect in person once again! Things have been moving along quite well and have actually grown in scope. I can now announce some more particulars.
We will be able to help clients with a wide range of careers, lifestyles, and medical concerns through a state-of-the-art program. The efficient program's sophisticated technology enables us to give customized testing, treatment and care to clients anywhere in the world! This program is built on the crucial truth that every client's body is biochemically unique and that all treatments should be custom-developed to meet the specialized needs of each individual. It is this extraordinary personalized care that puts it far out ahead of standard medical practices. The program consists of a team of highly qualified specialists searching for the root causes of illness and disease, using the most cutting-edge genetic and nutritional testing in existence. How it works - Your program physician serves as your personal medical expert, from coordinating care for a hospitalization or specialty visits to advising you on medical issues to making recommendations for personal equipment or to counseling you on the best techniques for relieving excessive stress in your life. To ensure we met your exacting needs, we are affiliated with many providers of services, including those designed for affluent lifestyles. If our team is not already traveling with you on your business trip or vacation, a quick call will activate medical transportation with an inflight physician communicating directly with you, even if you become ill or are injured at remote locations like the Amazon or a Sub-Saharan desert. Our services go beyond just serious research and now also include bringing travel medicine to a whole new level!
And on a more personal note, another thanks goes out to one person in particular who has been unwavering in their support of me and this endeavor even under challenging circumstances. See you again soon! :-)
7 August 2010 - WOW! I just completed my first trip to England and I have to say that I really love it! The people there were all extremely friendly and most helpful! The trip was more productive that I had even hoped! I was finally able to meet some of you that I have only gotten to know on the phone and through emails. I was also able to find and get introduced to other great contacts that I hadn't planned on, including being asked and getting involved in the effort to bring free swimming back to some capacity that the government ended on the 31st of July. I appreciate all the support and enthusiasm for what I'm bringing to England. Last, but not least, I am MOST excited about being able to spend time with who I most wanted to spend time with. Thank you for such a GREAT first trip to England. I think I'm really going to love living there.
9 July 2010 - OK. I'm all ready for my first trip over there. I'm very excited to finally be coming over to the UK to start getting things on that end set up. I'm looking forward to finally meeting some of you that I have come to know on the phone, and am especially excited to see friends I have had to endure not seeing for a while. I will see you all very soon. And to that certain special someone, thank you for all your encouragement and support. I'm glad things are finally starting to calm down. I know it hasn't been easy, but things are finally coming together. Sweetie, you're the best. X x x
25 June, 2010 - Over the coming several months, we will be coming to England over several extended trips to finalize partnerships already established, set up relationships for future expansion, and to secure additional venues. We will also be having several meetings with the governing bodies of British Swimming and British Triathlon to further cement or relationship with them in the push for London 2012. Along with our strategic partners, we will be helping prepare British athletes for the push for the Gold! We are VERY excited about this endeavor. Stay tuned for more information as it is approved for release.
6 May, 2010 - There has been a slight delay, but for VERY good reason!
We are teaming with yet ANOTHER nationally known institute in the United States to bring this innovative and cutting edge service to the UK.
As soon as we are able to provide more information, it will be posted here. We are currently trying to get approved to at least describe this service on here until a more formal announcement can be made. Check back soon to see more of this exciting news!
